At Rising Stars' Academy, our 4-step Illuminated Learning Method ensures personalized attention and support for each student, guiding them towards academic success. Alongside this, our 3 Component Learning Trifecta (environment, commitment, strategy) propels students forward.
SPOTLIGHT
Step 1 in the process consists of spotlighting students. The spotlight consists of diagnostic testing using platforms like IXL and Kids A-Z, completion of a learning styles inventory, and a consultation with relevant parties to review students' current school data. This results in an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) that outlines academic strengths, weaknesses, and a plan of action.
TRAVEL
Navigating to step 2, students engage in 'Travel' sessions based on their academic and social-emotional needs. The most aggressive plan recommends two days a week of travel sessions, where professional tutors facilitate academic lessons aligned with students' ILPs. These sessions focus on authentic learning, scaffolding skills, and life preparation such as communication skills and note-taking.
ACCENTUATE
Step 3 provides students an opportunity to accentuate their learning. Tutors use what students learned during travel sessions to extend lessons in ways that resonate with students' preferred learning styles. To bridge the gap between school and tutoring, a homework hotline is available for additional support.
RADIATE
Step 4 encourages students to radiate their newly acquired skills in all facets of their life. The focus is on fostering self-belief and understanding, allowing students to achieve anything they set out to do.
